Taking Support to New Heights: REV Robotics Proudly Partners with The Rainbow STEM Alliance

The Rainbow STEM Alliance™ (RSA), led by President Jon Kentfield, has been at the forefront of promoting diversity and inclusion within the STEM community. They have consistently strived to make the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics a more accepting and supportive place for LGBTQ+ individuals.
REV Robotics has become a trusted supplier for FIRST® events, but our involvement extends far beyond just providing essential robotics equipment. As part of our mission to empower the next generation of STEM professionals, we show our commitment to fostering inclusivity and promoting diversity by providing LGBTQ+ of FIRST pins and ally ribbons at the FIRST Championship event in Houston, with over 50,000 individuals in attendance from around the world.
As we kick off the 2023-24 season, REV Robotics is taking our commitment to inclusivity to a whole new level with the help of Jon Kentfield and the Rainbow STEM Alliance. Kentfield acknowledges the benefits that our new partnership will provide to the FIRST community, stating, “This year, REV has gone above and beyond by providing the LGBTQ+ of FIRST pins for distribution across the globe via partners and staff of the LGBTQ+ of FIRST student organization. The RSA could not continue to provide these pins without the generous support of sponsors like REV, and we are proud to continue to work with REV and other FIRST Suppliers to promote a more inclusive environment for all participants.”
Greg Needel, President of REV Robotics, foresees our new partnership with the Rainbow STEM Alliance as an opportunity to highlight diversity and inclusion within the STEM community. “In a world where diversity is celebrated and everyone feels accepted for who they are, partnerships like today’s announcement between REV Robotics and the Rainbow STEM Alliance are crucial. These partnerships not only empower individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, but also send a clear message that the STEM community is enriched by its diversity.”
By working together, REV Robotics and the Rainbow STEM Alliance are paving the way for a brighter, more inclusive future in STEM. Together, we can break down barriers and build bridges that lead us to a more inclusive and welcoming STEM community for all.
